The MVF Formula - From Idea to Validation in 7 Days (Here's how)
A simple system to test ideas before you build them.
Hey,
Quick question: How many "million-dollar ideas" are sitting in your notes right now?
I bet there's at least 3-4 that you KNOW could work. You've done the research. You see the market gap. You're just... stuck.
Here's the thing:
I've been using this exact MVF formula (Minimal viable funnel) to help coaches, consultants, DTC brands, SaaS businesses (and many more) go from idea to validated concept in under 7 days.
Not months. Days.
For less than $1K.

What You're About To Get (Fair Warning)
I'm about to hand you the same framework I charge $8K for.
Why? Because I'm tired of watching founders spend 6 months building something nobody wants.
By the end of this email, you'll know:

The "Golden Nugget" Question
The biggest piece of this puzzle? Answering "what's worth testing right now?"
My friend Steph France (one of the most underrated marketers I worked alongside on our AI automation agency back in Q1) has killer methods for finding golden nuggets in any niche. (his channel is a gold mine… and I am not sure why he is not viral yet 😅)
But here's my take: Stop overthinking it.
You did your homework. You found a market gap. Now TEST it.
We live in a world where AI can compress 6-month validation cycles into days. Use that advantage.
The 7-Day Validation Process
Here's my exact step-by-step:
Step 1: Build a simple no-scroll LP with One clear message & CTA
This isn't your typical landing page. It's stripped down to the essentials:
The Structure:
One clear headline - Your main promise or transformation
One supporting line - Add context to your promise
One CTA - Either start the quiz or capture email
That's it. No scroll. No distractions. No menu.
Why this works: One message forces clarity. One CTA eliminates decision fatigue.
Quick setup: Use Unbounce, Framer, Replo etc. Don't overthink the design.
Step 2: Create a short questionnaire that qualifies plus gets you data
Ask questions that will help you understand:
Their current situation
Their urgency level
Their main challenge
The Framework: Ask, Ask, Give (what Gary Vee would call jab, jab, hook)
Start by asking 2 thoughtful questions.
Then provide some value.
Ask another 2 questions, and this time introduce one specific USP from your product/service, showing exactly how it benefits them.
You can also put a price question or price anchoring in the middle/end of the funnel (be careful with this, if you see a huge drop-off thats a signal for price issue)
Make sure your questions are interesting. Frame it so respondents feel like they’re getting something out of it. For example:
“Your personalized results of X” or
"Based on their answers, we found the person match/solution for Y"
Avoid repetition or boring phrasing (and of course, use AI to polish and streamline).
What you want from the data?
Actionable insights on what you should build or how your product should evolve
Their biggest pain point... the urgent, burning issue they want solved (that other solutions have failed to fix)
Their price sensitivity / willingness to pay
Their email (lead capture! wohoo!)
Tools that I recommend for this: Typeform or Tally.so (not affiliated with both of them)
Step 3: Write 50-100 image ads with blank background and message that will resonate with your ICP
This sounds like a lot, but here's how to systematize it:
Create variations around these angles:
Problem-focused messages
Solution-focused messages
Benefit-focused messages
Urgency-focused messages
Social proof messages
For each angle:
Write short versions
Write long versions
Add data/numbers where relevant
Test different emotions
Test I statements
Test failed solutions
Pro tip: Don't write 100 unique ideas. Take the core problem they emphasized in the quiz and express it 100 different ways.
Step 4: Test on Meta ads on traffic campaign and 400 impressions per ad
The setup:
Campaign objective: Traffic (we're testing messages, not optimizing for conversions yet)
Budget: $50-100/day
Audience: Keep it broad - let Meta find your people
Ads: 50 messages per ad set
Detail: You need 400 impressions per ad, minimum, to get meaningful data. Less than that is just noise.
What to watch: CTR, cost per landing page view, and quiz start rate.
Step 5: Use those learnings to optimize your LP and quiz
After 48-72 hours, you'll have data. Here's what to do with it:
Look at your top-performing messages:
Which angle resonated most?
What specific words/phrases worked?
Which emotional triggers connected?
Apply these learnings:
Update your landing page headline with a winning message
Refine quiz questions based on comments/feedback
Adjust your CTA language
The key: Don't guess what to optimize. Let the data tell you.
Step 6: Refine and repeat
This is where most people stop, but you're just getting started.
The refinement loop:
Double down on winners (>3% CTR), make more different ads with different narratives.
Continuously optimize the ads + flow
Remember: We're not looking for perfection. We're looking for signals.
Complete System:
Total cost: <$1K
Total time: <7 days
Value of data: Priceless
From Signals to Sales
Those signals don't validate your idea yet. They just nail your positioning and messaging.
Next step? Connect LP + questionnaire + checkout experience.
Yes, sell BEFORE you build.
I know it sounds crazy, but it's the only way to know if people will actually pay.
How to test payment intent:
Add a pre-order option with a discount
Take deposits for early access
Offer founding member pricing
Why This Changes Everything
Most founders are stuck in 2010 thinking:
Build first, validate later
Spend months perfecting the product
Launch and pray people buy
Smart founders flip the script:
Validate first, build second
Spend days testing market demand
Only build what's already proven to sell
The difference?
One approach costs $50K and 12 months to discover you're wrong.
The other costs $1K and 1 week to know you're right.
I could write a 20-page brain dump on this (seriously, this topic could be discussed for months).
But here's what matters: You have everything you need to test your best idea this week.
The framework is right here. The tools exist.
Will you use them?
Your Day 1 Action Plan
Stop reading. Start doing.
TODAY:
Pick ONE idea to test (stop debating)
Write your core value prop in one sentence
Choose your landing page tool
Set up your Meta Ads account
Block 2 hours tomorrow to build
TOMORROW:
Build your no-scroll landing page (1 hour)
Create your 3-5 question quiz (30 min)
Write 20 message variations to start (30 min)
Connect everything
Launch your first test campaign
BY DAY 7: You'll know if your idea has legs.
What I'm Working On
Just onboarded a client that wants to compete with Airbnb and Booking (it's going to be an interesting ride…)
I built this daily pushup challenge for my brother and cousin, join us if you're into workout
